I always love watching the transformation of the football players as they walk onto the field. It’s almost like it’s a sacred place to them – they become another person, its about the game, a mentality, smiles don’t exist until the game has been won – add the stadium lights and it’s over. I had such a blast shooting this split football/urban session with Bennett last week. Capturing that emotion and the frame of mind that a football game encapsulates is exciting for me because I know (or at least hope) that the guys can appreciate the final result. Rather than sticking them in front of a roll of paper and telling them to smile, it puts them in their own element, taking what most guys consider a chore and makes it just a little bit more bearable. I especially LOVE the drama and edginess that the stadium lights provide. Thank you so much Bennett for being a trouper and enduring my terrible attempt at jokes and my ridiculous stories, not once, but twice. 😉 It was great getting to meet you and I wish you the best of luck in your senior year and upcoming football season!!
