My mom and Jordy’s grandma have been friends for almost as long as I’ve been alive, and has basically been like a third grandma to my siblings and me. I can remember when Jordy was born, so the fact that she’s now a senior is making me feel incredibly OLD! I was SOOO excited when Kerry called me to do her daughters’ pictures here in Chicago!! It’s not everyday that one of my Michigan clients takes a vacation for some super sassy pics in the big city. We had a fabulous time wandering around and finding fun locations to shoot while trying to keep cool in the 90 degree temps and high humidity – needless to say, we made our way to North Avenue beach in the hope of catching some lakeside breezes and relief from the sweltering heat. It was a fitting location for a swimmer like herself and she didn’t think twice before jumping in in her jeans. 😉 After our beach and Lincoln Park excursions, we took the road less traveled and cut through some alleys to get a bit of an urban edge. I had such a fabulous time shooting and hanging out with Jordy and Kerry and I feel so honored to have been able to document this stepping stone in her life. Jordy – you are truly a special young lady – so vivacious and bubbly and it was an absolute blast to be your photographer. Thanks so much and enjoy your preview!!
