This is Ann and DJ. A long, long time ago, I was in high school and Ann worked in the Development Office and her husband affectionately named “Little Szym,” was my freshman Algebra teacher, and later the school Vice Principal. DJ was only a few years old at the time and that is pretty much how I remembered him in my mind. Now, he is 14, and thinks he’s too cool to give his mom hugs and kisses ;). I assured him that you are NEVER too cool to kiss and hug your mom – I have three 6’3″+ college football playing brothers that still give them to my mom and send random texts to tell them they love her. hah Ahh the silly teenage years…but I digress.

It was so wonderful chatting with Ann and DJ during their shoot – DJ told me about his trip to New York and how he (sadly) preferred it over Chicago…I’ll forgive him this time. hah By the end of the shoot he actually appeared to be enjoying himself and ran back into the house to grab his sweet shades for a few more solo pics. I’m sure Mr. Szym will love the photos of his cool kid and amazing wife. What a wonderful gift for such an awesome guy!! (Thanks again for letting me off with just a couple days of detention senior year for not signing out before leaving school haha).

P.S. If you’re reading this and friends of Dave: this is a surprise for his b-day so shhhhh….
