Madrid & Toledo {Europe 2012} | Saginaw Photographer

Some of the interior at the Santo Mauro, where we stayed for the first week in Madrid. I absolutely LOVED the decor, so many fun patterns and colors!!

Restaurante Botin – opened in 1725 and the world’s oldest restaurant.

Royal Palace of Madrid

An Egyptian Temple donated to Spain from Egypt when the building of a new dam necessitated the need for it’s relocation.

I got lost one day looking for the Hopper exhibit (it ended up being across the street from our hotel…sigh…) and even though I found myself in a sketchy neighborhood, I thought this huge painted wall was a pretty cool find. 😉

Fruits, veggies, nuts, fish, meat, breads, ice cream, whatever you could imagine were all found at Mercado de San Miguel. AMAZING!

I am obsessed with these adorable little cars!! ^^^

Not too bad for a photo snapped out the window of a moving taxi. 😉

Above: The Westin Palace – the hotel we stayed at for our second week in Madrid. Celebrity spottings of the owner of Chevrolet and Sharon Stone. So they say….

Dinner at Plaza Mayor.

A cool train station in Madrid on our way to Tol̩do. It was like walking into a jungle in a train station Рa little crazy.

Pretty cool. One question, where are the pictures of all the bafoonery that went on that week?

I didn’t carry my nice camera most of the time and generally I don’t showcase “bafoonery” on my business blog. 😉
