This past weekend I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing, Jordyn, a beautiful young lady the day before her sweet sixteen!! You wouldn’t know it from looking at her, but it was absolutely FREEEZZZINNNGGGGGG!!! Emphasis on the FREEZING. Where we were, right on the lakeshore, it was about 14 degrees with gusts of wind around 8 degrees. It was bitterly cold and in all my years of shooting, I’ve never done a session when it was that cold. That being said, Jordyn was AMAZING! She was such a trouper, facing the cold head on without the coats, hats, gloves, and scarves that her cousin Mohini (also aspiring model) and I both were wearing. We made a few trips back to the car for quick warm ups and Mohini carried a blanket around for her to warm up in, in between poses. All in all I think it was a pretty successful shoot, despite the cold, and I look forward to working with her again soon on a warmer day! 😉 Thanks again guys for being so awesome and for the hot chocolate as well!!
