So last Wednesday through Friday it was lovely, and it appeared that spring had finally sprung – leaves sprouting, flowers blossoming, birds chirping, the occasional flipflop wearer – then Saturday it rained. And was cloudy. And foggy. And it was, of course, the day we had scheduled to do my cousin Jamie and her fiancé, Jeremy’s engagement session. Figures.

Despite the rain, we made it work, taking pictures in the main entrance of the nearby Union Station, and various stops along the way to the brown line to take the train north to Lincoln Park. Fortunately for us, it stopped raining long enough to get some great shots. After 2+ (maybe even 3+) hours of wandering the city; wet, dirty, and hungry (Patrick especially) we called it quits ::Jamie and Jeremy silently rejoice::. It was a lot of fun getting to catch up with a cousin that I rarely see and meetin’ her man before the wedding – now that I live in Chicago, I’m much closer to a few of my 20+ cousins and I hope we get a chance to do this more often – obviously less pictures, more hanging out, going to the beach, dinner, etc. etc. 😉 So yea….I’m going to just shut up and post this because I MAY have told Jamie I was going to be posting more pictures soon and she “s;dlgjs;difusd;lkjfslkj” excitedly typing nonsense onto facebook. So here you go guys, enjoy!!! And, I am seriously excited for your wedding next month!!!

If this is any indication of how foggy it was that day, you usually can see the downtown skyline here…it appears to be misplaced in some low lying clouds!
